Sunday 6/28
Today is the last day of freedom before classes start. Woke up at 5:30ish today but went back to sleep. After a while I got up and started watching TV dramas…Having a TV in the room that broadcast dramas is a bad idea, but it’s a great way of learning Chinese lol. I also went shopping for a bag because I forgot to bring one to China, but I got a great brown one that has a zipper so it’s a safer bag than the velcro bags. We have our orientation tonight w/ everyone and my roommate is still not here. I have yet to explore the campus but I’ll get to that eventually. Back to Chinese dramas until orientation and dinner time.

~ I just came back from the meeting, and boy do I have to study… Basically the run down is a test everyday and a written exam along w/ oral presentation every Friday but we have the afternoon off after that. Saturdays we have cultural events such as Forbidden City or the Great Wall of China. Sundays are for resting and studying. Now off to write Chinese characters until I sleep so I have a head start on my studies.

did i forget to warn you about the bag thing? yeah, same thing happened to me. so i had to use my nike draw string bag until i finally got a bookbag, or whatever it was that i used. =) at least you realized this before classes. GOOD LUCk on the quizzes!! =) - ducky
